I frequently visit Starbucks locations as part of my work outside the office. This location has always been clean, the team friendly and ample seating inside and outside. The few times myself, family members or guests have a problem or issue with their drink order, they are treated well. This is a fairly busy location on Vernon Hills and during some of the busy times the baristas can be a bit off, but that just comes with the territory.

Look, it's essentially over priced fast food coffee, I'm not expecting 5 star service. I understand the kids here are probably paid barely minimum wage and so they probably don't care. But Starbucks management, these are your problems to deal with, not your customers. Get people who care. I live across the street and this is a convenient location so I often go here. But today was the last time, awkward customer service who doesn't even say thank you, this is the 4th time I asked for a toasted bagel and got a mushy Luke warm piece of awkward bread, coffees were just warm, not hot, and they routinely forget the cream cheese with my bagel (or will randomly give me butter instead, seriously?). We're done here, dunkin donuts is half the price and they have yet to screw up my incredibly simple order even once.

Bad service! No greeting. The counter barista just made eye contact with me and stood there. So did I. She finally ended the staring contest with a very fake smile and facetious order request. No announcement that my order was ready or name. I assume this leaking drink was mine so I left with it.

I tried this Starbucks out on my way to work. I had forgot to make my coffee at home so I figured this would be a good chance to try this place out. The good thing is that they are open at 5am. The first time I came in I ordered a medium cup of coffee to go. The service was friendly and courteous. They didn't quite have everything out yet as I added my cream and sugar there was nothing to stir it with so I grabbed a straw. The second time that I came here it was about 5:15am and when I attempted to enter the door was still locked. Luckily the girl behind the counter noticed me and opened the door. I ordered and received my medium coffee, this time the creamer was empty. I'm wondering if the creamer dispenser was left out over night because if they picked it up, they would have known it was empty. I told them it was out and they brought out another container. Just some things that they need to fix and this will be a good place to stop on my way to work on those days that I forget my coffee ;-D.

Me: can I get a vanilla bean frap "light"? Them: no, only coffee-based fraps. Me: ok. Then I'll have a peppermint mocha frap. They ring up the order Barista: tall peppermint mocha (hot drink) Me: that should be a frap Barista (a few min later): peppermint mocha frap! Me: did she tell you it should be light? Barista: no. Ticket says peppermint mocha. Doh! Offered an apology? No. Offered a make good? No. Posting on yelp while sitting here? Yep.

First of all, don't come here trying to use their wifi, it is 3g, sooo sooo slow. There is also a drive through window at this location. A lot of starry eyes. Everything else, it's typical. When you do get the chance to speak to the workers, they are pleasant.

Convenient location for me? Yes, and that's about the only good thing about this Starbucks. They're super slow. Constantly making drinks wrong. Every visit has been an error with them. Last time I was there, I didn't receive half my order. After waiting in line for 15 minutes, I didn't have time to stay and fight it out. I just won't be going here in the future.

This location is possibly the slowest one in 3 towns. Also, as slow as they are the order should be right and they rarely are. If you call them out on it most of the employees are clearly bothered. I have gone out of the way on numerous occasions to the location on 45 even though I could walk to this location.

(Usually) the "frozen drink" fraps have little to no ice. I say usually, as once in a while I get one made like it should be, which is not watery but has some ice. I've requested extra ice, etc. but makes little difference. Hey I pay $3 to $6 for a frozen drink...it could at least be frozen...

Most of the time, they are decent. Although there have been plenty of times where they messed up my drink because they are too busy. Drive thru is usually a mess. Have had multiple occasions where I sat in drive thru line for almost 20 minutes, just to have to go inside afterwards because my drink tasted horrible. Staff is normally pleasant, with the occasional pissed off employee here and there. They need to work on being able to handle a rush of customers better. Hire more people, or let corporate know that whatever is going on at this store needs some changing.

Mornings are ridiculously crowded during the school year since every mom dropping off kids swings through the drive through. Afternoons and weekends they put the b team on duty and it is slow, slow, slow. Yogurt ordered and given to me with apologies that they had no spoons. Just now, we tried ordering 5 sandwiches before they had one in stock. Yikes!

If I could give this no stars I would. For years this location has been the worst in the area in regards to customer service. The employees are lackadaisical and rude. I ordered two of our regular drinks on 10/25/14 one of which was a canned Refresher drink. I asked politely for it in a cup with ice. I was quickly told they would give me a cup and I could pour it in myself. I was incredulous! When I questioned this saying that all the other area locations will do it the young woman said "let me ask my manager." She came back and said they would do it with a snarky attitude. I said thank you and thought I was done with the bad service. When I pulled up to pay I handed her my Starbucks card. When she handed it back I went to put it back in my wallet and she impatiently said "here's your receipt" in a rude tone because she had to wait 10 seconds holding it while I put my card back. To top off this awful experience, when I asked for the "short" straws (both drinks were in Venti cups) she snottily asked me "do you mean the green ones?" Sorry sweetheart, all Starbucks straws are green. I will make sure I do not stop at this location in the future, I'll go to the one on 21 or 60/83 close by. They are both much nicer to their customers.

Worst starbucks i have ever been to!! Guy who toon orders was very un-professional. Ordered a grande caramel frappacino... Which has been my go to starbucks drink for 10+ years. When they handed it to me it loomed darker than usual and there was no caramel drizzle!! I tasted it and it did NOT taste anything like it should... It was bitter and so thick u couldnt sip it through the straw! I told the guy and he said they would make a new one. Next thing you know, the barista came to the window all snotty and sarcastic and asked, "did you mot want the coffee flavor?" I said, i asked for a caramel frappacino... She then replied, " so u dont want the coffee?" I told her never mind i just want my money back. Im pretty sure Starbucks built their empire on great customer service. I have never been challenged by a barista, the guy working the window and the manager. The manager didnt even seem all that concerned when i told him my issues. I will go out of my way yo avoid this stArbucks.

The one great advantage to this Starbucks is that it is close to home and has a drive thru! The interior sitting area is nice, but small - I don't think I could see myself trying to read/study here for a long period of time since it can get really crowded easily. They offer outdoor seating when the weather's nice and that's a plus as well. The baristas are friendly and efficient.

This Starbucks is conveniently located by a lot of local restaurant. And it has a DRIVE THRU! The only down fall is that staff needs to pick up their pace. Every time I come here after lunch, I worry that I won't be able to get my boyfriend back to work on time because it takes them forever to make a tall americano. Maybe I've just been spoiled by the Startbucks in the city where you're in and you're out. But I've been to a lot of other Starbucks in the suburbs and they're not as fast as the ones in the city but not as slow as this location. But as always the coffee is strong and well made.

The employees at this Starbucks are great! They are always nice and honest when I ask if the pastries are fresh. They concentrate more on customer satisfaction then on the sales.
